OUR TEAM

Will has extensive accounting and taxation experience in public and private enterprises. He began his career in 2003 with medium-sized firms gaining valuable experience in personal and corporate tax and financial reporting work. He has engaged in the highest level of taxation training available to Chartered Professional Accountants in Canada through the Canadian Institute of Chartered Accountants (CICA) In-depth tax program. He worked as a controller at an Edmonton-based real estate development company for three years before venturing out to start his own accounting firm. Will started and co-owned Henderson Campeau LLP in Calgary for 6 years before operating his own firm for a year, during which he met his current partner, Dan. He has worked exclusively with owner-managed businesses in the Calgary area helping them with their financial reporting and taxation planning and compliance. He looks forward to continuing to build on the success of the past 7 years as he helps his clients move forward.

Will Henderson, CPA, CA

Dan started his career at a small firm in Calgary in 2006. The first several years of practice were dedicated exclusively to personal and corporate taxation for owner-managed businesses. After gaining a strong foundation, Dan moved to KPMG as a senior accountant in a private company audit. During his time at KPMG, Dan had the opportunity to work with a host of private companies, not-for-profits/charities, and municipalities to help them with their financial reporting and tax matters. After KPMG, Dan focused on cross-border taxation, working with small businesses and individuals with cross-border complexities. Dan started the 1917 CPA with Will to focus exclusively on helping Canadian owner-managed businesses with their financial reporting, tax planning, and tax compliance. Dan is known for being casual and approachable. He believes in providing a high level of service for reasonable fees. When Dan is not at the office, you can find him spending time with his family and his two Great Danes.
